Thanks to a comment left on one of my favorite blogs Gadgetopia.com I learned about F6 and Ctrl-Enter when using firefox.
Try it now in Firefox or Internet Explorer!
Step 1- Press F6 (focus & selects all address text)
Step 2- Type Gadgetopia then CTRL-ENTER (adds http://www. and .com)
Done!
